Vegan Chai Spiced Oats With Fresh Fruit {Sweetened With Banana}

This is my “I’m so ready for fall and all the “spice” oriented foods but I still like summer so I want to incorporate fresh fruit” breakfast lol. I’m totally obsessed with mixing different season’s flavors in my food. Does that even make sense? I don’t know but you gotta love a good oatmeal recipe, and this is for sure one of them!

INGREDIENTS

* 1 cup oats

* 1 ripe banana

* 1 cup plant milk

* 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

* 1/8-1/4 teaspoon cardamom

* 1/4 teaspoon ginger

* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

* 1/2 cup fresh fruit

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Combine all the ingredients but the fresh fruit in a small pot. Heat at low medium heat and bring to a slight simmer.

2. Stir continuously until you reach the desired consistency. Lower the heat if necessary. The amount of time you need to cook the oats will vary depending on the type of oats you are using. Refer to your oat’s packaging for a guide on how long to cook them.

3. Transfer the oatmeal to a bowl and top with atleast 1/2 cup of fresh fruit. I chose to use mango and blueberries.
