Ingredients
1 apple
2 Tablespoons rolled oats
1 Tablespoon maple syrup or honey
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- De-core the top of an apple, but make sure the bottom remains intact. I use a knife to cut diagonal slits inward and proceed to dig out the center with a spoon. Dig a hole deep enough to remove all seeds.
- Mix the oats, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Transfer to the center of the de-cored apple.
- Place the apple in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for roughly 3-4 minutes or until the apple is tender. Keep a close eye on it to make sure that the oat mixture doesn’t bubble over.
- Serve immediately and drizzle with canned coconut milk, coconut whipped cream, coconut butter, honey, homemade date caramel sauce, or banana ice cream.
Notes
- bake in an oven or air fryer at 350 Fahrenheit for 30 minutes if you wish to not use a microwave.
