Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie + Chocolate Drizzle Hardshell & Dark Chocolate Rawnola (Raw Granola)
No need to wait for Valentine’s Day to have chocolate covered strawberries. You can have the new, improved, and much healthier version with this indulgent smoothie bowl. I feel like a sales commercial right now, but it’s seriously so yummy! This age old strawberry and chocolate combo is just too good not to try! When the smoothie bowl is combined with the healthy chocolate hard shell, it is taken to a NEW level. Oh, and I can’t forget about the chocolate rawnola. If you don’t know what rawnola is, It is basically just granola that is raw. In my opinion, it is so much better, because it is both healthy and tasty with a chewy texture that tricks my tastebuds into thinking it’s cookie dough. I’m not upset with it.
INGREDIENTS
1.) For the Smoothie
* 1 frozen banana
* 1 heaping cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
* 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder
* 3/4 cup plant milk
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2.) For the Rawnola
* 1/4 cup oats
* 2-3 teaspoons cocoa powder
* 3-6 dates
3.) For the Chocolate drizzle
* 1 Tablespoon coconut oil, melted
* 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder
* 1 teaspoon maple syrup
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Create the Rawnola by adding all the ingredients to a food processor or blender. Pulse lightly until chunks are formed. If nothing is clumping up together, add more dates, or even a splash of water. You can also use your hands to create clumps. Set the mix aside.
2. Make a chocolate drizzle my stirring all the ingredients together until smooth.
3. Blend all the smoothie ingredients in a blender until smooth. You can use no milk if you want the texture to be thick and more like icecream.
4. assemble everything by pouring the smoothie in a bowl. Top with the rawnola and the chocolate drizzle. I also added fresh strawberries, chia seeds, a banana, and cocoa nibs for toppings. Feel free to add any other toppings of your choice, and enjoy!
