minutesI consider matcha to be the epitome of Christmas. It embodies radiant flavor, reviving energy, and vibrant color. The combination of matcha and peppermint in this protein-packed, comforting drink is perfect for the holidays.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups plant milk (I use cashew milk)
2 teaspoons high-quality matcha
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
Optional: maple syrup, honey, stevia, or other liquid sweeteners to taste
Directions
- Add the milk to a saucepan heated over medium heat. Bring to a simmer until it reaches your desired temperature.
- Add in the rest of the ingredients and froth with a milk frother or transfer to a blender if your blender can handle the heat.
- Top the drink with coconut whipped cream, crushed candy canes, or any other toppings you desire and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make this drink iced by skipping the heating step, blending all the ingredients together, and pouring over ice.
- Add cocoa powder for a chocolaty treat.
