Gourmet Healthy Almond Butter Cup Brownie Freakshake with Chocolate Hard Shell {Vegan & Refined Sugar Free}
Whenever I make this indulgent treat, I remember the time I paid 15 dollars for a gourmet milkshake from an amusement park, and how it was probably like 15,000 calories lol. I wanna say I’ll ever do that again (but no promises) because this tastes sooo much better and it’s actually healthy for you! I mean, just look at it, does that not look delicious? Now I have myself craving it, haha. I might be making this tomorrow morning for breakfast🤔
INGREDIENTS
For the shake:
* 2 frozen banana
* 1-2 Tablespoon coco powder
* 2 Tablespoons almond butter (or any nut butter)
* 1 Tablespoon flaxseed
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/2-1 cup dairy free milk
optional:
* 1/4 cup oats
* 1 scoop protein powder
For the chocolate hard shell:
* 1 Tablespoon melted coconut oil
* 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder
* 1 teaspoon maple syrup
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Blend 1/2 of a frozen banana in food processor until an Icecream-like consistency is created. You may need to add a dash of liquid to help the frozen banana blend easier. Put in a freezer while you make the rest of the shake.
2. Make the chocolate drizzle by combining all the ingredients in a bowl. Stir until a smooth and set aside.
3. in a food processor, add the rest of the shake ingredients. Blend until smooth. The amount of milk you add depends on how thick you want the shake to be.
4. now, add the shake to a cup, topped with the plain banana “Icecream” that we put in the freezer earlier, and the chocolate hard shell. I also added some homemade healthy brownies and hazelnuts on top. You can add any extra toppings, or enjoy as is!
NOTE:
You can skip the step of making a plain banana “Icecream and just combine it with the rest of the shake. I made it the way it is so it will look prettier, but it is totally optional.
