minutesThe addition of rose in these tasty almond cookies makes them especially elegant and certain to impress whoever tastes them!
Ingredients
1 ½ cup almond flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 egg*
3 tablespoon honey*
2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-3 teaspoon rosewater*
Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Directions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the almond flour and baking soda in a large bowl.
- Whisk the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the dry ingredients. Fold to incorporate until a thick batter forms.
- Place the batter in the fridge and allow to sit for 30 minutes. While the batter sits, preheat an oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Take the batter out of the fridge and roll it into balls composed of 1 tablespoon of batter. Gently flatten the balls onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned and no longer glossy.
- Allow the cookies to cool before serving.
Notes
- The egg can be substituted with a flax egg.
- The honey can be substituted with maple syrup or any other liquid syrup.
- Adjust the amount of rose water according to the potency of your rose water and personal preference.
